Hello my arty friends, family and generally supportive
people!
Just so you locals are aware, I started this newsletter last week,
with the intention of sending it out earlier than a few hours before First
Friday Gallery Walk begins...uh, well. You see how well
that worked out. Anyway....
Come to my studio during First Friday Gallery Walk!
I've rearranged my studio at Poudre
River Arts Center again, so you surely want
to come and see that! If that's not enough to drag you out, I'm
also showing samples for my classes and taking signups.

Composition Book Journaling: This
is Your Life
|
I have 3 different workshops
scheduled:
Return to Sender: A Reclaimed Envelope Book (6
hours; $100)
Composition Book Journaling: This is Your Life (6 hours; $100)
Christmas Tree Screen Ornament (3 hours; $50)
Classes include almost all supplies (you bring your basic tool kit).
Full day classes have an hour break for lunch. Click on the class
names above to see photos and read the details.
Legacy
Land Trust is in the gallery and their closing reception
for their annual fundraiser is 5-9. LLT is cool because their
mission is to conserve and protect key natural, scenic and agricultural
lands of northern Colorado that make this region a special place
to live and work. Also, there will be yummy food, wine,
beer and live jazz.
Saturday,
Nov. 7:
Open House & Impromptu "Let's Get Makey!" Group
Fellow studio artist Laurie
Gudim is holding an open house on Saturday
for her new studio, and I am riding on her coattails by hanging
out in my studio 11-3. I invite you to bring your supplies
and a project to work on and hang out with me. I think it would be
nice to see my friends and for us all to get makey in the process.
Call me at 970.744.9030 if you think you will be joining
us.
Holiday shopping is upon you...
It's
time to start thinking about the holidays and what choices you are
going to be making when you pick out gifts for your loved ones. Please
consider supporting local artists when you're doing your shopping. We
work hard and you can usually find something in your price range.
And don't be afraid to ask for something special. Many of us are
doing commissions! I will still be taking commissions
for my house canvases through the day before Thanksgiving. I
also have some art and craft products in my studio -- beads, rubber
stamps, inks, and so on. These would make great stocking stuffers
for your favorite budding artist. :)
See you soon!
