Well, I’m working on a challenge for the magazine, and it’s creative alright. As soon as this is done, though, I have to go to sleep. I’m pooped from all of that healthy sunshine and thinking about art I did at the park.

Spent the day doing altered book page spreads for the magazine, so I can’t show it here, but suffice to say, I did good. REAL good. I’m pumped again.

Saturday, December 18, 2004 – Rejuvenation
today was a day of not dealing with To Do Lists and plans and whatnot. It was a day of just hanging out and being. It was fabulous. Purchased some supplies for upcoming projects and also a book on altered books.
Friday, December 17, 2004 – getting back into it. again. really.
Computer generating lots of thank you cards for various, um, thank yous I owe. Printing the main image on tan paper and then when they’re all cut and folded, I’m going to glitter them up! Photos later.

Tuesday, December 7, 1004 – getting back into action.
I needed to make a quick card for mom so she can take it apart to remember how to make shaker cards, so here it is. that counts as art for today. so there.
Monday, November 15, 2004 – family: a study.
I finished the piece for my sister Angela tonight. Tomorrow I have to glue down some curling edges and then coat the whole thing with gel medium, but it’s done and I’m so excited. This is the largest thing I’ve done to date and it was scary and nervewracking and overwhelming and made my back hurt. But I love it. I used the “serendipity” technique of doing random collage on black paper, then cutting it into squares and then arranging the squares on a black background.
And it really upped my inch count for , too, which is a bonus!
I named it what I did because I thought of my family as I worked…how we’re all different, yet the same, but when we come together, we can be something really beautiful.
